This page is dedicated to helping you know more about me! I’m Jenna! I’m a twenty-something-year-old, Chartered accountant currently living in Toronto, Canada. I started Prada & Pearls in May 2017 as a creative outlet to share my passion for fashion, beauty, and travel!
Growing up I was always creative, I would have about 5 projects on the go whether it was beading, painting or random art. After becoming an accountant I found myself lacking that creative aspect in my life. Since I have always loved fashion and writing, I decided to take the plunge and create a blog!
A couple of frequently asked questions…
Where are you from?
This question is a common one since many assume I’m from the States! I was raised in a small town called Belleville, which is in Canada. I went to University in Ottawa (our nation’s capital) and 3 years ago I moved to Toronto! Toronto is by far the best city I have ever lived in, there’s so much to do and see here so make sure you stop by!
Who takes your pictures?
My boyfriend takes most of my photos! He isn’t a photographer, however, he’s REALLY talented. We’ve learned how to create beautiful content over the last year together! I have also recently taken a lot of my pictures using a tripod! It’s been a huge challenge (you get a lot of stares) however it lets me get content on my own time.
What do you edit your pictures with?
I use Lightroom to edit all of my pictures! I have a couple of presets I use consistently to make everything look cohesive
Do you blog full time?
Yes! After 10 years of being a full-time accountant, I took the plunge and started blogging full time in March 2019! It was a huge change but I’m super excited about it
Do you have any other blogs?
Yes, I also run a personal finance blog called Balancing That Budget. The mission of the blog is to help you save more, earn more and live debt-free!
