How to style: The chambray dress by Prada & Pearls

Today on Prada & Pearls I’m talking all about how to style a chambray dress! I got this chambray dress from Lace and Charm, they’re a Canadian retailer that ships across Canada and to the US! I love supporting local Canadian retailers, most of my clothing comes from the states or Asia so it’s refreshing to purchase things more local!

When I saw this chambray dress on Lace and charm’s website I fell in love! I love the trumpet sleeve with the peplum bottom! It adds such a unique detail to the piece!

Today I want to get into some styling tips specifically around chambray – so let’s get into it!

1. Chambray can work for any season!

Okay so this is a handy tip when your trying to repeat pieces throughout the year! Chambray can honestly work during any season. It all comes down to how you accessorize! For this spring look, I went with my pom pom rattan bag! However if I wanted to bring this into fall I would pair this dress with some rust orange accents and for winter I would add in some velvet!

2. Dress it up for work or down for a casual day!

The look I’m modeling is definetly a more casual look, however you can easily dress it up for work by adding in a statement necklace and some heels!

3. Pair it with accessories that pop!

I love pairing white accessories with chambray because I find the white really pops against the blue! Whatever color gives you the most contrast will pair really well! I would suggest white, light pink, red, yellow, burnt orange and lavender!
