Looking for a fun and unique way to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids? Check out the bridesmaid proposal boxes I designed!
These custom boxes are the perfect way to pop the question. They are so easy to customize so you can find the perfect one for your bridal party. Whether you’re looking for something simple and elegant or fun, I’ve got you covered. Plus, these boxes make great keepsakes for all of your friends.
Why a Bridesmaid Box?
Asking you’re friends to be part of your wedding is both memorable and exciting and should be celebrated! It can be a huge milestone in your friendship and can mean a lot to both of you.
Before creating my bridesmaid boxes I wanted to plan out what I wanted to put in them. For me, I really wanted to include items that my friends would actually use! No one needs more junk, so I wanted to make sure that everything in the box would be valued.
My Wedding Theme
Chris and I are planning to get married in Italy, specifically Positano but we haven’t picked a wedding date or a color theme yet.
This gave me a lot of options when it came to these boxes. However, if you have your wedding colors picked, you can easily design your personal boxes around them!
I decided to go with neutral tons like champagne, green and earth tones. Given a lot of the items I’m including in these boxes, I wanted them to be in colors that would go with everyone’s wardrobe and home decor!
The Boxes
One of the most important aspects of popping the question to my bridesmaids we’re the actual boxes!
I teamed up with Paq to create these custom designs, perfect to hold all of the bridesmaid goodies.
Paq is a Canadian custom packing company that allows you to design your own custom boxes from the comfort of your home or office! They use environmentally friendly material allowing you to create anything from a custom mailer to a pizza box! The whole design process only took me 5 minutes, and your order will be shipped within 5 days.

My Design
For my boxes, I decided to go with the sizing of 10″ by 10″ by 4.5″. I found these dimensions to be perfect for the 5 items I wanted to include.
Pro Tip: I recommend figuring out what you want to include in the boxes first, before you create your design. That way you’ll be able to make sure all the items will fit!
I decided to put each girls name on the outside of the box so I could tell everyone where to sit when it was time to pop the question!
For the color of the boxes, I went with sage green. It’s such a calming color that really goes with the neutral theme. This exact color is: #9CAF88 for reference.
As for the font, the cursive script is in Playlist Script and the “will you be my” is in Lovelo.
Inside I customized the top of the box to read the girls name and what their role in the wedding would be! I thought this would be the perfect way to pop the actual question all at the same time. I had the following:
1) “Will you be my Bridesmaid?”
2) “Will you be my Maid of Honor?”
3) “Will you be my Matron of Honor?”
4) “Will you be my Flower Girl”
If you’re looking for any sort of customized box, I highly recommend going with Paq. The whole process was seamless and the boxes are great quality!
Custom Champagne Scrunchies
I wanted to include scrunchies in the bridesmaid boxes because everyone could use more hair ties! Especially if we’re getting married in Italy, it’s going to be a hot one! With that said, it’s so hard to find good quality ones.
I decided to team up with Blush Pop Creations after seeing her custom designs on Etsy. She makes customized tags for the scrunchies with each girls’ name on it along with a custom saying.

Personally, I decided to go with “I Can’t Tie The Knot Without You”.
I got all of these cute hair ties in the color “Champagne” however there are 32 other color options to choose from. I can promise you there is something that will go with your wedding color theme!
This was easily one of my favourite things to include. All of my girlfriends said they loved the quality of the scrunchies and some started wearing them right when they opened the box!

Succulents
It was important to me to include some real plants in the box. I love succulents, they’re so easy to care for (which is ideal for any friends who don’t have a green thumb).
I went to my local grocery store to pick them up! Succulents are both affordable and add some vibrance to the boxes.
Custom Mini Champagne Bottles
Had to include some champagne in the boxes to celebrate! I wanted to make these customized so they felt more bridal.
To do this I design custom labels with Vistaprint! I decided to go with the saying “Pairs well with wedding duties.” I designed the image in Canva then upload it to Vistaprint.
The labels are 3.5″ by 2″ with White Paper.

I picked up mini Henkell champagne bottles from my local LCBO and stuck the labels on each bottle.
They turned out great! To make this easier, I decided not to customize these labels with each girls’ name and instead made them all the same to save costs.
Hand made candles
I really wanted to include a candle in my bridesmaid proposal boxes since a lot of my friends love them! I’m actually launching a candle company called Ember Mood so I created the candles myself!
Each girl received a custom scent that I hand picked for them (this was also fun when everyone opened up their boxes and could smell each others scents!).
Next, I ordered some custom candle jar labels from Vistaprint that said “I can’t say I do without you”.
I ordered the circle 3″ by 3″ in white paper. Like the champagne labels I designed the label on Canva and uploaded it into Vistaprint.

Treat Boxes
I wanted to include something edible and sweet in the boxes to finish them off!
First I decided to purchase some plastic square boxes to hold the candy. Here’s the link to the exact boxes I purchased (they’re super affordable):

In the boxes I added in some chocolate covered Oreos and some chocolate balls both in wedding colors. You could really add anything you want to these boxes from gummy bears to cupcakes!
Box Stuffing
To stuff the boxes I went with shredded paper. I landed on both kraft and a mix of white and gold. It adds some extra padding to the boxes to protect the items and it make the boxes look a lot more professional.

Finished Boxes
To finish off the bridesmaid proposal boxes I decided to tie a bow around the boxes with brown twine to make them look more finished!

Table Decor
To present the bridesmaid proposal boxes, I had all of my girlfriends over for a wine night, where I set up all of the boxes on our dining room table.
I added in some dried greenery, battery tea lights and plastic champagne glasses for decor (which went great with the boxes), and surprised everyone when they came over!
